A gnome story.

One day Kristal and I were shopping for fabric to make gnomes with. We got to taking about when I made nawny (her baby blanket). She asked me how I made it and we looked at all the soft Minky fabric. We joked about making a gnome to match her nawny. Thinking I had some scrap fabric left I thought I could surprise her. Well after 9 years that scrap fabric was no where to be found. The very next day I was scrolling through Facebook and a lady in a gnome making group I follow posted a gnome made out of the very Minky fabric nawny was made from. I immediately commented asking where she got the fabric. Unfortunately she responded that she had bought a bag of scraps and this fabric was in there. Darn it so to the web I went searching for the fabric, fabric sites and Etsy sites. All I could find was blankets made from this fabric on Etsy. I messaged a couple people and they said to check a fabric store that carried Shannon fabrics, but no luck and then I came across a small fabric shop that had the Minky fabric I was looking for but all she had was a small piece left, she also told me this design had been retired, but she sold me the small piece she had. And now Kristal has a squishy gnome to match and he even has his own nawny.
