On my recent trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina it was necessary to get up early each morning, since the drives varied between 4o minutes and two hours, in order to catch the nice early light. While driving along the BRP one of those mornings this sight struck me as I came around a curve. I was lucky enough to get the camera set up, check my setting and shot. Loved the wispiness of the clouds and the color of the rising sun painting them like a canvas.
A bit north east of Asheville on the BRP on the way to Craggy Pinnacle.
