I vividly remember sitting in the hospital waiting room when I was seven years old waiting for my little cousin, Lexie, to be born. Fast-forward 28 years and all the stars aligned when we planned a last minute trip to Pittsburgh in March and she went into labor the day we got into town. It was so surreal getting to meet our new nephew at only 24 hours old in the hospital. Of course I threw my camera in my bag and had to take a few pictures of their sweet, brand new family. It truly was the greatest gift getting to hold him and hug you, Lex. Congratulations .german & - that little boy is so lucky to call you mom & dad ♥️

✨ Lifestyle Newborn session ✨ I had the pleasure of photographing this brand new beautiful boy in his home and it was just the sweetest morning. What I love most about an in home session is that there's no rush to get home for a nap or feeding- we just take breaks as we go and chat about the delivery and how you chose the name and how postpartum is going and everything in between. It feels so different than other sessions because I'm stepping into such a rare and beautiful bubble for your family and I'm just snapping some photos along the way. Hard to believe this tiny sweetheart is already another year older. 💕 I think cake smashes are such a fun way to celebrate your one year old. I try to keep it as stress free as possible so we spend some time chatting about the theme, I provide the cake + decorations, and you just show up ready to have some fun and watch your brand new one year old either destroy the cake or act completely disinterested in it 🤪 either way, it's always a great time!
