Been failing at adjusting my kid’s schedules but I’m here for the later sunsets 😆

This is officially your sign to prep for spring pictures because the flowers are coming and SOON. If the weather so far is any indication, I think we’re looking at an early flower season which means beautiful landscapes are coming fast 😍

Cue every photographer’s worst nightmare:
Rain on a mini session day 😳

I had been thoroughly checking the weather and there should not have been any rain during my minis. I was completely in denial, right up until I was literally driving into the storm on the way there.

I gave all my families the option to reschedule but they all went for it and I can’t believe how these turned out 😍

Have you felt like you’ve worked yourself too hard?

I ended up taking most of July off. I flew right back into sessions as soon as Gwen was about 7 weeks old. I thought I was fine for a while but started noticing little red flags that said I was pushing too fast too soon. I took most of July to recharge and it has helped so much.

I’m going to come back into sessions more slowly this time and not take quite as many to keep my mental health/family life in balance.

Anyone else feel like they’ve had to take a step back for a bit? Did it help?

Wow it’s been a minute 😆 I can’t believe I’m almost done with maternity leave, I don’t know where the last month went!

I was able to sneak in a baby announcement session right before I had Gwen and just look at how pretty this new winter location is! I also can’t wait for spring though 🌼

My May is almost completely booked but I have more spots for June so if you’re wanting a session in the wildflowers now is the time to book!
