It is with great sadness that we share that Glenn Johnson has passed away due to complications following cancer surgery.

Many of you knew Glenn through Coastal Home Photography. Although the business closed when Glenn retired, the friendships and relationships he built with so many agents over the years remained meaningful to him. He also cherished the friendships he made with industry professionals throughout his career.

After Glenn’s diagnosis, many of you reached out with prayers, encouragement, and kind messages. Those gestures brought tremendous comfort to Glenn and Alma during a very difficult season.

We will be holding a Celebration of Life to honor Glenn. If you would like to attend—whether you knew Glenn personally or would simply like to support Alma—you are warmly invited. We kindly ask that you RSVP using the link provided, as space is limited.

Sharing This With The People Glenn Loved Working With 💙

This is Alma Johnson, Glenn’s wife. I wanted to share this here on Glenn’s Coastal Home Photography page because there were so many agents Glenn truly loved working with over the years. Many of you became more than clients — you became people he genuinely enjoyed seeing and working with.

Glenn loved his job and always went above and beyond for his clients. That strong work ethic was one of the things I loved most about him… although, if I’m honest, it occasionally landed him in the doghouse at home for working a little too hard. Lol.

It took a lot for him to finally decide to close the business and retire this past February. Ironically, he officially closed on a Friday, and by Sunday, all of these serious health issues really began to rear their head.

I thought some of the people Glenn cared so much about should know what’s been going on, and I’m asking for your prayers during this difficult season.

Thank you all for the kindness and support you showed Glenn throughout the years. It meant so much to him.

Today, I feel led to share something deeply personal. ❤️

My wonderful husband Glenn has been diagnosed with stage 4 urothelial cancer and he is presently fighting yet another infection. While this news has been incredibly difficult, there has also been so much beauty in the middle of the ashes. Through this journey, Glenn has fully given his heart to the Lord, and our marriage is stronger than it has ever been. We are leaning on God more deeply than ever before.

Through my cancer story, the Lord transformed my life in ways I never could have imagined. It led me to beekeeping, to this amazing community, and to so many loving people here in Sarasota. My prayer now is that Glenn’s story will also become a testimony of God’s goodness, healing, and grace.

To our incredible customers, friends, and community — you have always shown up for us, often before we even knew we needed it. You have truly made our lives sweeter than any honey we could ever produce.

Right now, we are simply asking for prayers. Please keep Glenn in your hearts and place him on your prayer lists. And if you feel led, please share this so we can cover him in as many prayers as possible

Coastal Home Photography is currently expanding! We're seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team photographing local real estate on a daily basis. This is a unique career opportunity, as this niche profession is not formally taught in schools. We are willing to train the right candidate, and if you already have your own camera equipment that's great however it's not a requirement. Reliable transportation is integral to this job, so we'll look forward to hearing from you!

Our Sarasota-based real estate photography team is seeking a reliable full-time candidate to work Monday through Friday from 8:45am to 5:00pm. Your primary role is to coordinate the scheduling and appointments for our team of three full-time photographers. Additional responsibilities include photo and virtual tour management, billing, and daily customer service calls. For the right candidate, this job can potentially be performed remotely, however 4-5 weeks of training would be required at our office.

Qualifications:

Familiarity with office management procedures and basic billing principles
Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak comfortably when talking to clients by phone
Scheduling three photographers for daily weekday photo shoot appointments
Proficient computer skills including multiple daily email correspondences and working with a series of cloud-based software such as billing programs, etc.
Someone who is highly organized and has competant writing skills
Ability to be patient and understanding with a variety of personality types
Able to handle occasional stressful situations with ease
Able to work independently without close supervision
Facebook and Instagram management is a plus!

An icon of the Sarasota School of Architecture, the famed Zigzag House embodies a midcentury-modern design and contemporary upgrades for an exceptional combination of historical significance and luxury integration. Named after its distinctive sawtooth roofline, this home was designed by renowned architect Ralph Twitchell and originally completed in 1959. A multistage, full renovation completed in 2019 thoroughly restored and enhanced the structural and stylistic elements of the home.

The award-winning renovation was recognized nationally in 2020 by the American Institute of Architects and the American Registered Architects, locally by SRQ Magazine and was stewarded by Seibert Architects, Ball Construction and Yoder Homes. The Zigzag House features a single-story layout with four bedrooms, a separate media den and office, a large, open living and dining area oriented around a central, fully covered lanai, along with a saltwater pool and surrounding Zen garden.
