👋🏼 hi! We’ve been gone for a while. Thank you to everyone single person that has messaged us while we’ve been resting, recouping and figuring out our next steps as a family.

It’s going to take me a while to get through the DMs but if you sent one, I’ve seen it and I appreciate you!

We are getting in the holiday spirit over here and enjoying our last holiday in the bus and day dreaming about what’s to come.

2023 is going to be a big year!

Feeling insanely grateful for this safe place we have right now while our home state is devastated. This catastrophic storm was heading directly for our family and friends to say we are lucky is a gross understatement.

If you feel inclined to make a donation to help out people that were not so lucky and have lost everything in you can check out our stories to donate.

Here’s a few more shots from our home in the Badlands. We’ve only got a little over a week left in South Dakota 🥲 so we’re trying to make the most of it before we start our slow journey back to FL for the holidays.

The real question is..what’s next, Nebraska or Iowa?! 🌽

We watched the sun set and the moon rise last night 🌞🌚 We talked about past experiences, life lessons and future plans over a warm fire and under an illuminated sky.

I know I sound like a broken record but dang, it doesn’t get much better than this.

We left the UP and we’re in Minnesota with .lane & and tomorrow we all start our journey to South Dakota to check out the Badlands and the Black Hills.

Mackinaw Island - a quick guide:

🌉 The bridge is epic so take the ferry ride that goes under it.

⛴ We took the hydro jet ferry.

💗Eat at the Pink Pony.

🚲 DON’T RENT A BIKE unless you plan on actually riding around the whole island. It costs us $250 for the day and we barely used them.

🏰 Visit the Fort.

🪨 The Arch Rock was amazing and you don’t have to climb a kajillion steps to see it if you don’t want to.

🦋 Don’t miss the Butterfly & Insect House!

🐴 Take a private carriage tour.

☕️ Have high tea at the Grand Hotel.

And on your way out, don’t forget to go to the top of the ferry and look back at the island 🤌🏼

📍 kitch-it’s-kipi aka “Big Spring” in Manistique, MI.

The first photo is what it would have looked like back in the day before man decided to make a tourist attraction of it {Swipe to see what it actually looks like}.

Something that has happened whilst traveling isn’t something I was expecting - a disappointment I suppose.

Arriving at places like this - miracles of nature - to see them completely desecrated by the national park service with signs that say “don’t leave the pathway, help us conserve the area”. Then they put a cable boat on it, secure the cable THROUGH a tree and then charge you to visit.

So enjoy the first photo, the way nature intended it.

This was the spot that it sunk in for me. That full time travel is our life now. It was a complete change of scenery and weather from our HOT journey up the East coast of America 🥵

We’re just over 3 months in now and on the one hand it feels like we’ve been doing it for years and on the other, like we just left.

Next up 👉🏼 Wisconsin! Anything we HAVE to see or do or eat there {other than cheese}? Drop it in the comments👇🏼
