ELLIE- TK Class of 2027

There are some sessions that just feel easy... and this was definitely one of them.
We had the most beautiful evening on the beach with Ellie. She told me she usually doesn't like pictures of herself, but I'm really hoping these might change her mind because she absolutely glowed in every bit of that golden light. ☀
Her mom, dad, sister, and boyfriend came along to cheer her on, and somewhere along the way Dad earned the title of my newest unpaid lighting assistant. 😂 He was a natural, and we all had such a fun evening together.
I've actually had the privilege of photographing Ellie more than once over the years. The very first time she was just a tiny girl... and I may or may not have placed her in a basket hanging from a tree. 😅 (The photography world has changed a little since then... and thankfully we've both come a long way! 😂)
Watching the little ones I once photographed grow into confident, kind, beautiful young adults is one of my favorite parts of this job. It's such an honor to be invited back to capture another milestone.
Thank you, Ellie, and thank you to your wonderful family for another evening of making memories with me. 💛

Another gallery delivery!

As seniors across the area are preparing for their final first day of school, I'm so grateful that this senior checked one big thing off the list before the craziness of fall arrived. Senior year has a way of flying by. Between sports, homecoming, college applications, work, and making memories with friends, the calendar fills up faster than anyone expects.

If your senior is still waiting for their session, don't panic—there's still time to book! My calendar is filling quickly, but I do have a limited number of dates available this fall. Let's create images that celebrate who they are before tassels are turned and diplomas are handed out.

Just sharing one of my favorite images from Lexi's senior session!

Gallery Release Day is one of my favorite days.
It's the day I get to go back through every image one last time, making sure each one is exactly as I want it before I send it off to my clients.

These photos are incredibly special to the families who receive them, for obvious reasons, but have you ever thought about what they mean to the photographer?

Each gallery is something I've created. Like a piece of pottery, I've spent hours with it... studying it, shaping it, refining it, pushing and pulling until it feels complete. Every image is a little piece of my creativity, my time, and my heart.

Photography is my profession, but these galleries become so much more than just a product. Sending them out into the world is a little like sending my babies off to be seen, judged, and hopefully loved. It's exciting, nerve-wracking, and, if I'm being honest, a little emotional every single time.
So today is Lexi's Gallery Release Day... and I can't wait for these images to find their forever homes.

A cousins photo shoot??? YES PLEASE!!!! If this isn't a sign to do a cousins shoot, I don't know what is. I could tell from the first 30 seconds of my arrival, as they all poured out of their vehicle roasting each other, that this was going to be a fun one! Lots of laughs and energy!
