I have been eagerly awaiting this sweet girl’s arrival since I met her gorgeous Mama a few months ago at my daughter’s old daycare, where the big brother of this little bean still goes. I hit it off with Nikole right away and she is one of the sweetest humans I have ever met! As per usual these days, the plan was for me to shoot this girl’s journey Earthside but she had other much swifter plans in mind. Instead, I came for the first time on her one week birthday to get some quiet, snuggly shots with just Mom and Dad, then returned the following week to take some more pictures with her big brother thrown in the mix. He was adorable chaos embodied and though we didn’t get a ton with him near the baby or sitting still, he was such a delight and gave us all some much needed belly laughs.

Thank you so much to Nikole, Kyle, big bro M, and Baby J for allowing me into your gorgeous home to grab these sweet moments!

Pardon my oversharing, but this is still only half of the final batch for this session! 😂 This is my Vermont BFF Kathie, her amazing kiddo Olivia, and her partner Lenny. In short order, they have become family. Liv and our son Elliott are classmates and love each other like siblings (and Liv looks at our daughter Norah as a little sister, too) and we have all bonded so deeply, and for that we could not be more grateful. Having moved across the country where we have no family and didn’t know a soul, it feels so beautiful to be building our own chosen family and community. These amazing humans bring so much joy and laughter and being-home-feelings for us, and so I was super honored to nervously break out my camera again to get some family shots of them all together during peak autumn leaf time here in Vermont. Enjoy these beautiful happy faces that we’re lucky enough to get to see all the time! 💜

Hello friends! Long time no see! I know… this is sounding repetitive from my last post, isn’t it? Sorry, y’all. I have been out of the game for a while now; I’ve long been dealing with severe carpal tunnel and ulnar nerve decompression, to the point where I could no longer hold my camera long enough to shoot nor sit at my computer to edit for more than a few minutes. This year finally brought relief as I had surgery on my right hand and elbow back in May and then the same surgery on my left hand and elbow in July. I don’t have 100% feeling/usage back but it’s astronomically better! All that combined with Covid running rampant (I am currently on my 3rd bout despite being cautious and rarely going out… thanks children) and a tough summer for our oldest kiddo has meant photography on the back burner for a while, but now that things are getting better I finally got to break out my camera last weekend and give it a fresh shot at trying to feel like a photographer again! I’ll be sharing photos from that session shortly! I’ve missed this space and you all, and getting to document some of the best moments in life for the most amazing people. Happy to be back. 💜

The plan had been for me to document this sweet boy’s whole journey Earthside, but he had other adventures planned. This little heart warrior decided to show up early and reallllly fast, and after his birth it was quickly discovered that he had a little trouble with his heart that required open heart surgery at only a few days old. I was so delighted when his Momma texted me last week to update me and let me know that he was not only okay, but thriving, and asked if I could come take some pictures for them now that they’re all home safe, sound, and healthy. It was truly such an honor to be allowed into their gorgeous (and I mean GORGEOUS) home to capture their palpable, overwhelming love for each other and this sweet little one, and I’m so happy I got to have this little guy be my first newborn shoot since moving to Vermont!

Happy holidays to you and yours! I’m so grateful for so much —this year especially— but today I’m feeling especially grateful for this work I love so much, and for the love I get to bear witness to while doing it.

Hello my loves! It’s been a hot minute, hasn’t it? If you didn’t already know about it, my family and I sold mostly everything we owned, packed up and shipped the rest, and loaded into an RV to drive all the way across the country to settle down in Vermont! We moved out of our old house in April, drove here over the course of May, and arrived in Vermont on June 1st. Our arrival was followed by an unexpected 3 additional months (after our initial 6 weeks) of living in our RV full time with two small kids and 2 big dogs while we house hunted and went through escrow. Things were super chaotic, uncertain, and stressful, but we are finally settled and I am slowly getting back into my groove and starting to meet some folks here and make new connections! Coming up: a full website rehaul and some rebranding that includes some new services, and learning to drive in the snow so I can make it to all of my shoots. 😉
We are so grateful and delighted to be here in The Green Mountain State and have never felt more at peace. I can’t wait to get down to all the adventures we are sure to have here!
