I know I’ve been quiet on here for a while, and I owe you all an explanation.
The past several months, my entire focus has been on my 13-year-old son, Alan. He’s an incredible, kind, and sensitive kid navigating the world as both autistic and transgender—and he’s been in crisis. We’ve been facing relentless bullying, self-harm, suicidal ideation, multiple hospitalizations, and intensive mental health treatment. As a mom, nothing has mattered more than being there for him. I stepped away from social media and have taken time away from my business to be present and support my child.
That’s why I haven’t been present here. It’s been survival mode in our home.
Two days ago, on Tuesday, May 6 2025, our worst fear became reality: Alan ran away from home and went missing. We were beside ourselves with worry, terrified for his safety, searching for him relentlessly for hours. But thanks to the incredible support of this community—your shares, your prayers, and the hours many of you spent helping us search—HE’S HOME.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
To our family, friends, clients, coworkers, neighbors, and even complete strangers: thank you for wrapping your arms around us when we needed it most. The way this community came together to help bring our baby home is something we will never, ever forget.
But our fight for Alan doesn’t end here.
We’re now facing the crushing weight of medical bills, therapy costs, and daily living expenses with only one income. My husband left his job to stay home with our kids, and I’ve had to scale back my work to give Alan the support he needs.
We’ve started a GoFundMe to help cover the mounting cost of his care. If you’re able, please consider donating or sharing. Every dollar, every share, every kind word—it all makes a difference.
Thank you for helping bring Alan home—and for continuing to fight alongside us as we work to get him the care and healing he deserves.
With love and deep gratitude,
Michelle & Family
