Jamie Birchfield Photography

Jamie Birchfield Photography I am a photographic artist, explorer, researcher, and storyteller. For me it is an act of reverence, a quiet prayer of appreciation for nature.

Photographic Artist | Florida’s Emerald Coast
Photographic Artist chasing the light and capturing the quiet beauty of Florida’s Emerald Coast
https://linktr.ee/jamiebirchfieldphotography My soul feels most alive when I’m immersed in nature, surrounded by stillness, silently observing and honoring the gifts that God reveals through the beauty of creation. My process is both intuitive and intention

al: I find something beautiful, learn more about it, and seek the right moment to capture it in the best light. I love sharing the story behind each image and instilling the feeling of the coast — its soft light, subtle rhythm, and quiet energy. Through my work, I hope to inspire reflection and invite others to pause, look closer, and let themselves enjoy the breathtaking artistry woven into nature. It brings me great joy to see my photographs find a home where they continue their story bringing serenity, warmth, and connection into the spaces where people live, work, and gather.

MACRO MONDAY!
Ever wondered what macro photography actually means? Simply put: it's the art of capturing tiny subjects at life size or larger. Think of it like a magnifying glass for the camera lens. It brings out all the intricate textures, hidden patterns, and tiny details that are usually invisible to the naked eye. When you zoom in this close, a whole new world opens up. Which one is your favorite? Please share your macro images with me in the comments.

Which do you like best?

This time last year we were in Paris for the day! I took this image of the Eiffel Tower from our Seine River lunch cruise. I like the black and white version because it feels like an old postcard. And I like the color version with the sun flare because it captures the reality of the day and how it really felt. Let me know which one do you prefer?

One year ago today I arrived in Dover England where we spent a couple of days before boarding the Carnival Miracle for a 15 day cruise that would take us to France, Portugal, Spain and Italy.

These images include a few from the historic port town of Dover in Kent, southeastern England and it is world famous for the White Cliffs of Dover and the massive medieval Dover Castle.

These are images I took with my Canon R5 Mark II and the workhorse Canon 24-70 2.8 lens. As a photographer it was hard to narrow down my gear for an international trip but I managed with this camera set up, my iPhone and my Meta glasses. If you are interested, I've posted my cell phone and meta glasses images on my personal page.
