The heels come off, the ties loosen, the late-night snacks make their appearance, and suddenly your dance floor is full of your favorite people giving it absolutely everything.

Reception photos don’t need to be perfectly posed or polished. They should feel like the party actually felt. Loud, a little chaotic, full of movement, and ridiculously fun.

Because after all the beautiful details and traditions of a wedding day, there’s something pretty special about ending it on a packed dance floor with the people you love most. 🤍

It’s the first opportunity your guests have to settle in, grab a drink, reconnect with friends and family, and really begin enjoying the celebration you’ve spent so much time planning.

A few things that can make it even better? Plenty of comfortable seating, passed hors d’oeuvres, a beautiful bar setup, signature cocktails, and thoughtful details that make the experience feel uniquely yours.

And from a photography perspective, cocktail hour is full of the candid moments that help tell the whole story of your wedding. Your favorite people laughing together, the details you carefully chose, and all those little interactions happening while you’re enjoying newlywed portraits.

It’s not just the time between the ceremony and reception. It’s part of the celebration. 🤍

Beach engagement sessions are less about perfectly posed portraits and more about movement, connection, and letting the setting do a little of the work for you. 🤍

My biggest tip? Embrace the wind, kick off your shoes, and don’t be afraid to get a little wet. The more you allow yourself to simply enjoy the experience together, the more natural your photographs will feel.
