The incredible horses and dedicated volunteers at Riding the Spectrum make every session possible. Together, they create a welcoming and supportive place where riders can build confidence, develop new skills, and experience the special connection that only a horse can provide. 💙🐴
It was an honor to photograph these wonderful moments—full of smiles, courage, trust, and pure joy.
Riding the Spectrum is also the only nonprofit organization in Ventura County with a MiraColt, a therapeutic riding simulator that recreates the gentle, three-dimensional walking motion of a horse. It gives riders another way to work on balance, coordination, posture, core strength, and sensory regulation in a safe, controlled environment.
Every rider has a story, and I’m grateful to preserve a little piece of it through my lens. 📸
