Happening Thursday, May 7, 4 - 6 pm at the Marjorie Evans Gallery in the Sunset Center, Carmel CA - the opening reception for "A Light Exists in Spring", an amazing collection of 50 or so images from the Center for Photographic Art volunteers, staff, and Trustees, curated by the amazing Ann Jastrab! My toned cyanotype of our two (late) Labradors is just one - so many to see!

I'm very thrilled that my image of the Triana bridge in Seville, Spain was one of 18 images chosen by Black and White Magazine for their 2025 Alternative Process contest. It is a toned cyanotype print.

It's been a good couple of days. This morning I got this from Nancy McCrary at South by SouthEast Gallery.

"Your image, Leading the Way, was chosen by Elizabeth Avedon for the online exhibition Call the Dogs."

The exhibit will be online starting in mid-December.

My toned cyanotype image of the Triana bridge in Seville, Spain is just one of one hundred and forty-five (145!!) works of art now available to bid on in the Center for Photographic Art's annual 8x10 auction and fundraiser. Bidding starts at $80. There are plenty of opportunities to get some amazing art for a steal! And, since they're small, you're sure to find a space on your wall!

In addition to the images, there's one special item - a catered dinner for 6 at Ansel Adam's house in the Carmel Highlands, hosted by Michael and Jeanne Adams. Michael will lead a darkroom tour, and you'll hear plenty of stories of Ansel and his times. Truly an exceptional opportunity!
