Every print has a story, and we’re honored to help preserve it.
This stunning piece was created by artist George Rosu in 1977, capturing the beauty of Avalon bay, Catalina Island. After George originally sold the painting, to a couple who enjoyed it for many years. When the owner passed away, his son, while settling the estate, decided to reach out to George to see if he might be interested in buying back the original.

For years, George had often thought about this particular painting and wished he could one day have it back. When he received that unexpected call, he was overjoyed. After decades apart, the artist was reunited with his original work—a truly serendipitous and heartwarming moment.

George brought the painting to us so we could carefully scan and reproduce it. The final result was a breathtaking 70.75” × 34” giclée canvas print that beautifully preserves every detail of the original.

Creating beautiful wall art starts long before the heat press.

This video shows Kayla and me producing one of the large metal prints for in Solvang.

Before we printed a single piece, I asked the owner of California Horse Center to photograph each wall and provide the measurements. Using that information, I created realistic visual mockups so they could see exactly how the artwork would look in their space before making a decision.

Many of the original photos were also low resolution, so we enhanced and upscaled them to ensure they would reproduce beautifully at large sizes.

Whether it’s one print or an entire facility, our goal is simple: help you visualize the finished project, choose the right size, and deliver artwork you’ll love for years to come.

I like that this emphasizes something many print labs don’t offer: design guidance, realistic previews, and image enhancement before production. It tells the story behind the finished piece rather than simply saying, “Here’s a metal print"

When I look at a newspaper article from the mid-1990s and compare it to where Arrow Photo is today, one thing stands out: technology has changed dramatically, but our commitment to our customers has remained the same.

In the 1990s, we embraced digital imaging long before it became the industry standard. We invested in both Macintosh and PC systems, networked them together, and explored new digital workflows at a time when many people were still uncertain about the future of digital photography.

Over the years, the industry continued to evolve. Film became digital. Prints moved online.

Rather than fear change, we have always chosen to learn, adapt, and grow.

Our goal has never been to adopt technology simply because it is new. We embrace technology because it helps us serve our customers better, improve efficiency, expand creative possibilities, and make life easier for both our customers and our employees.

We believe the future belongs to businesses that can successfully bridge generations of technology while never losing sight of what matters most.

Some projects are about much more than restoring a photograph.

A customer brought us a military photograph of his brother that was over 50 years old. The image was torn, damaged, and the handwritten notes on the back were partially stuck to the glass and nearly impossible to read.

Using Photoshop and restoration techniques, we carefully reconstructed the torn photograph, recovered the writing by digitally rebuilding and mirroring portions of the text, enhanced the image, and created a custom display to honor the memories behind it. Then the Customer got a double sided glass frame so it can be turned around and it will display the signatures.

But the best part wasn’t the restoration.

This project is a surprise gift for his brother.

As he shared with us, he remembered playing with his brother’s military hat when he was a child and the special bond they shared growing up. When he found this damaged photograph in an old family album, he knew he wanted to preserve it.
“He has no idea this is coming. I think he might cry. He treated me so well growing up, and I felt I had to do this for him.”

Stories like this remind us why we love what we do.

Photographs preserve memories. Sometimes they also preserve love, gratitude, and family history.
