Warbird Photos Aviation Photography was started in late 2002 to showcase the aviation photography work of Britt Dietz Since then the website has grown to feature many thousands of aviation photos from airshows, military bases, museums, and more throughout the west coast of the United States. Britt is one of the volunteer photographers for the world famous Planes of Fame Air Museum (Chino, Californ

ia) and Lyon Air Museum (Orange County, California) and is often going up for air to air photography all over Southern California. His work has been featured in magazines, books, newspapers, calendars, online, and much more world-wide.

Douglas AD-4N Skyraider over Chino, CA in 2014 with at the controls. The 'flying dumptruck,' as it was called, earned its nickname by hauling up to 8,000 pounds of ordnance across 15 external hardpoints—allowing a single piston-engine strike aircraft to deliver more bomb weight than a World War II B-17 Flying Fortress.

An endangered species, a look back to 2011 when the Strike Fighter Squadron One Five One (VFA-151 Vigilantes) still had legacy McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C Hornets as it comes in for a landing onboard the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) aircraft carrier in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. All legacy Hornets have been retired from the US Navy in favor of the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet or F-35C Lightning. The US Marines still operate the legacy Hornets for a few more years until they are replaced by F-25B Lightnings.
