On a deadly stretch of road in Southern New Mexico. Highway 18, which is flooded with oil field traffic at the present. Today I pulled over for four separate Descansos. See captions under each photo for descriptions of these that were lost on this deadly piece of the the road.

The Peshlakai sisters. Taken from this earth on March 5, 2010 by a drunk driver with 5 previous arrests for DUI. I've passed it many times. But this day the sky and the message pulled me over.

Near Fredricksburg, TX. I have found these memorials all across the US. Whenever a cyclist is killed on a bike, a white, painted "ghost bike" is put in place. This one has been here for years, and is still lovingly maintained.
