Our dear friend Aimee and her mother Marilyn are about to embark on a huge adventure. Backpacking the Long Trail, a 272-mile trek through the Green Mountains of Vermont!

Marilyn was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer, after 15 years of being 'cancer free' from her initial breast cancer diagnosis in 2008. Marilyn assumed her goals of doing a thru-hike were no longer an opportunity for her, but with the help and encouragement of her daughter Aimee she is going for it!

It takes a lot of grit, time off of work and gear to set out for a long journey like this. Follow their adventure as Aimee, a super talented film-maker Tight Loops Fly, documents this incredible time with her mom. If you have anything to spare, donate to help support Marilyn! ❤

Cheering you on Marilyn, YOU GOT THIS!!

Kyia turned 14 (the Shiba-Inu, left)! And the crazy thing is, she hasnt slowed down one bit. Still just as stare-y, still just as athletic, still just at hunt-to-kill-y, still just as sassy, still just as demand-y.

You know, now that I’m thinking and writing about it maybe she’s even more of all of that in her old age.

Something to aspire to, tbh

This was her happiest day ever. She hates water, she hates getting wet, but goddamn, she LOVES tubing the river in Texas. Never have we seen her smile or be as content as this exact moment.

I mean, look at that smile! Is that not a happy shiba??

Her second happiest place: Baja

Kyia and Stella are absolutely inseparable. When we first got Stella, Kyia acted a bit questionable and shady to the new comer. But since then, she’s taken Stella under her wing and showed her the ropes of life at home, and on the road.

She never begs, she just sits there quietly and stares with unbreakable resolve

9.8 out of 10 times, we go for the food.

But every so often, the location and the vibes are so strong, that it compliments the already incredible food.

This cơm tấm (rice plate) place in Saigon is one of those places. During the day, it’s a motorbike repair shop, but once the sun goes down, the street corner completely transforms and turns into a massive street side restaurant serving looks AND taste.

This is one of those places that you can only experience in Vietnam; the smell of sweetly marinated meats being grilled over charcoal, workers yelling at each other, the small plastic stools, and the raging flood of rush-hour traffic as your backdrop.

I freaking love it.

Earlier this past spring, we hosted a trip with 12 friends in northern Vietnam through !

We started in Hanoi, traveled to Ninh Binh, then finished the trip on a cruise at the UESCO World Heritage site, Ha Lonh Bay. We spent 6 nights and 7 days together galavanting and eating everything we could along the way.

This is a non algo-friendly video of the trip. The song was played by an old man whom is a caretaker of a temple in Ninh Binh province.

Seeing this again makes us crave to be back in Vietnam. It’s just that wonderful of a country ❤️
