If you're in Santa Cruz this weekend, come say hi to me and Chris Eckstrom

Our Studio will be open again to visitors as we participate in Santa Cruz County's annual Open Studios Art Tour. ( #26 on the Open Studios Artist Map)This is a great opportunity to meet Frans and Chris in person and see a display of Frans Lanting’s iconic images from around the world and close to home. Limited edition fine art prints and signed copies of our books will be for sale.

Frans and Chris will speak about their work and the images on display each day at 1:00 PM.

Our Studio is located just three blocks off Highway One, on the Westside of Santa Cruz. We look forward to seeing you!

Our doors will be open on October 5 - 6 and October 19 - 20 from 11 am to 5 pm

Photo by Frans Lanting I am posting this image in recognition of World Photography Day on August 19. I use my skills as a photographer to raise awareness about the plight of wildlife and to amplify the importance of people taking action together to ensure a future for all living creatures. The more creative I can be, the more interesting an image can become. I hope you enjoy what I did here by panning my camera along with a young orangutan, swinging past me while dangling from a vine in a Borneo rainforest.

This image is featured in our new exhibit, “Inspired by Nature” produced for the Climate Change Center in South Korea. Stay tuned for more images from this project. Follow us Frans Lanting and Chris Eckstrom for more images of our precious planet.
