Mars Conjunct Pluto
5:00 am Mountain Standard Time
This morning I woke up—wide awake—in the very early hours. Curious to see what might be stirring things up energetically, I found that Mars and Pluto were coming over the Eastern horizon together. Greetings, my intense brothers. _/\_ You have my attention.
This week (and exact today), these two intense planets come together astrologically (conjunction). Let’s quickly understand each of them to imagine how that planet “joining” might work:
1) Mars - “God of War,” assertiveness, fighting for what is right, self-defense, getting “all-fired-up,” “seeing red,”, boldness, initiative, passion, etc...]
AND
2) Pluto - “God of the Underworld,” the subconscious mind and the dark stuff we push into it because it is ugly, painful, terrible, horrific, difficult to face/look at/deal with... Think of people doing bad things, even... And if we face the things that arise from the dark depths of ourselves and our past, we have an opportunity to birth ourselves into a beautiful transformation. What is real beneath the surface of what caused us fear? Was it really as bad as we thought? What is on the other side of this purging of karmic, subconscious stuff? Can we purposefully turn around and look those things squarely in the eye? This takes courage. Perhaps the courage Mars brings.
The joining of Mars and Pluto this week may not dredge anything up and into the conscious mind where we can see and recognize it. The planetary pair may make “soft” aspects or no connections at all in your birth chart. You may not have big, noticeable effects. It depends on your birth chart.
But where this pair stimulates our chart, it can also bring us intensity, domination, subjugation, havoc, dirty deeds, etc.
I invite us all to soften our emotions and thoughts, our reactions, and our environments.
Meditate on softness to help balance the energies of the day.
Kundalini Yogis may choose to do the “Meditation for the Arcline and to Clear the Karmas,” from the book The Master’s Touch, from the teachings of Yogi Bhajan (Siri Singh Sahib Bhai Sahib Harbhajan Singh Khalsa).
Let’s make it a day/week of clear and pure intent, caring for ourselves and one another, taking our time with things, and facing our issues maturely. Move carefully through your world to keep your body safe. Take it easy. Understand that people may be on edge for a bit. It may be the intensity of the planets provoking bad behavior, and not what others *really* think and feel. Maybe try not reacting. Listen to soothing music... even leave it playing in the background to soften your psyche and your space.
Blessings
