Newborn sessions are best undertaken 5-14 days after birth, and because of that, it's best to call early on in pregnancy - our slots book up, and the time window for these incredibly cute images is pretty narrow! We also include a maternity session and hair and makeup for both if you like the idea!

We are looking for an assistant who is local to the Santa Cruz area! Use the link below to apply!
eyeCatchLight Photography is looking for an assistant who can welcome clients during events and package/ship/deliver portrait orders. The assistant will also take care of small marketing tasks such as newsletter updates and occasional social media posts.
The successful candidate could also be needed as a backup for culling/editing when the main staff member is unavailable.
Other administrative tasks may be required.
This position is a contract based opportunity and will be paid at an hourly rate. The workload is estimated to be about 10-40h/month. The successful candidate should be local to Santa Cruz (or reasonably close).
Successful qualifications:
Outstanding communication skills
Work experience in a high-end/luxury environment
Positivity
A car to deliver packages either to UPS or the client (if local)
Desired qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience with OneDrive
Proficiency in Lightroom and Photoshop

It was a true pleasure working on branding. She had a very clear and detailed vision, and we put our heart and soul into making it come alive with our complimentary hair and makeup, styling advice, and a combination of studio as well as lifestyle portraits by the ocean and its beautiful high end real estate.
Amy just started out and already has several sold properties to show for - I knew she'd be part of the sometimes tough to achieve success in real estate when she described in astute detail and assertion where she's headed. I'm so impressed!

The April photo of the month vote fell on Kaylee and her brand new little baby brother! Their parents already came to the eyeCatchLight studio for Kaylee's newborn photos, and we've now completed the collection with a second album, looking exactly like the first, so nobody feels jealous! Both of them were a delight to work with and sooo well behaved! It made me so happy that I could capture this family's progression! 😭

Terrence is the lucky winner of the luxury portrait session we donated to the raffle of the Annual Gala that the hosted last month. He's the Dean of Research, Planning, and Effectiveness at - this made me so happy given that I'm an academic next to owning this portrait studio! 👩‍🎓
We are planning a session for Terrence's daughter and her six year old soon! I can't wait!!

Jeanne came in for headshots and branding portraits. We had a ton of fun! She really enjoyed our complementary hair and makeup, and she loved the printed folios of her images that came included with her digital purchase. It's really interesting how much more stunning a printed product can look nowadays given we're so used to the ever present digital files posted everywhere. It makes me so happy that these created joy.

The world is such a beautiful place now that this little one is in it! 🥰👶👣
Liezl came to the studio for maternity photos, which includes a complimentary newborn session - both with hair and makeup! This our one was as peaceful and kind as the wonderful parents. It meant so much!
