Capybaras are the largest rodents in the world. They are known for their calm and friendly nature. Crows on the other hand are highly intelligent opportunists trying to take advantage of the rodent's docile nature and attempting to feed on the ticks and parasites on its skin. Well...Capybara doesn't mind getting a free cleaning i guess.

Peru has close to 52 species of New world monkeys ( flat nosed). Was fortunate enough to capture 2 species in their natural habitat: Capuchin and Howler.
While Capuchin monkeys are omnivores and extremely agile ( hence harder to photograph them), Howler monkeys are leaf eating herbivores and lethargic and often seen relaxing on a tree branch.
Capuchin monkeys are usually quiet. Whereas, Howler monkeys are loud and can be heard upto 3 miles away.

Went to shoot the MilkyWay last week at Lassen Volcanic National park. The moon was in Waning Gibbous stage that day and there was just a 2 to 2.5 hr gap between the sunset and the moonrise to get my milkyway shots.
It was a serene experience to watch the colors change over the Lassen peak as the sun went down & the Milkyway gradually peaked
against the back drop of the beautiful Manzenita lake & Lassen peak.

Here's some pictures of the lake starting from the blue hour followed by the golden hour and then the Milkyway.
