Simone Staff Simone Staff is a Southern California lifestyle and action photographer.

She attempts to show her surroundings and its many forms of people through unique perspectives and stunning imagery, capturing the fleeting moments around her. ABOUT SIMONE

As long as I can remember, I have been exposed to all kinds of wilderness. From sailing or surfing in the vast Pacific to frolicking through the deserts of California, running up rolling hills in New Zealand and exploring cor

al reefs in the Coral Triangle, I love adventure. I have done all of these exploratory missions with a camera in hand, documenting special fleeting moments that are always occurring around me. I do this all through the lens of a camera, via still photography and videography.

I strive to always push myself to work harder, travel further, and am constantly creating new ideas and ways of capturing an image due to my close relationship with the planet and its wildlife. I strive to show Earth and its many forms of people through unique perspectives and stunning imagery. Through my travels I have met incredible and inspirational people, allowing me to capture the way they live. I continue to shoot, document, and travel to try and make a difference on our only planet.

Tracks, stadiums, and training facilities have all been photographed a thousand times...

That’s what made this one interesting. Our goal wasn’t to find a new location, but to find a new way of seeing it. I’ve had some conversations with other photographers who agree the same thing: the white vignette, low blacks and saturation has been overdone and overused.

So we spent the morning talking through angles, light and moments that felt athletic without feeling obvious. The goal: trying to blur the line between sport and fashion.

This is my reminder that creativity usually isn’t about having more options, but about seeing more within the ones you already have.

My first editorial published — and somehow, it became a COVER!

Still trying to find the words for that.

Elemental was built from pieces of myself I’ve carried for years. Sailing. Fashion. Femininity. Movement. The calm and chaos of being out at sea.

In sailing, bright colors can mean survival — something to be seen in if you fall overboard. In fashion, that same brightness can be read as dramatic, loud, too much. I wanted to explore the space between those worlds…to take the grit of the ocean and frame it with softness, elegance, and refinement.

There’s something powerful to me about a woman who can exist in both. Grounded and untouchable. Delicate and weathered by the wind.

This story felt like freedom.

And making it with people I admire made it even more special.

Forever grateful to everyone who helped bring this vision to life. first cover down ✔️

a reminder to actually capture the in-between moments…
i’m usually so locked in on set that i forget to take any bts—but putting this together brought back all the feels.
from my own shoots to assisting some really inspiring photographers, from the ocean to everywhere in between…
feeling really lucky to spend so much time in my favorite place: on set 🤍

There’s a certain kind of energy you can’t direct but can only see and follow. Chandler and Elán live in it. It’s the kind of movement that isn’t for show but just who they are. No switch to turn on, no performance to fake. Just consistency, grit, and a mindset that shows up long before the camera does.

I love shoots like these…the ones that feel less like a shoot and more like keeping up 🏃‍♀️

Sport, but make it editorial.

wearing — sport edition.

A blend of movement, energy, and elevated storytelling through a commercial lens.

As a commercial sports and fashion photographer, I’m always drawn to moments that sit between performance and style—where function meets feeling.
Feeling lucky to play around with the most fabulous crew ✨
