I love a wedding with a coastal view backdrop and beautiful trees nearby. So if you’re looking for a dynamic spot to say, “I do” then check out Sutro Heights Park in San Francisco. It’s beautiful and breezy. The trees below provide a nice backdrop too.

What an absolute gorgeous wedding day it was for these lovebirds. It’s always extra lovely when the bride wants everything adorned in flowers. Getting married at The Montecito Club on a summer day is an added bonus. Hi and Happy Friday! I typically post personal portraits on and but figured I would post here too because I know my Santa Barbara wedding clients would like to know what I’m offering soon… so read on people.

I imagine that ,as a parent, it’s bittersweet to revisit moments captured like this. Those simple pleasures and connection are so much fun to photograph. Thank you for choosing me to preserve this special time with your newest addition.
And… my fellow Santa Barbarians, I am offering quick mini kid sessions in my studio this September. Dates and details will follow soon. Be prepared because those slots will fill up quickly. And no… we aren’t shooting at the beach 🥰😘. Studio only and it’s fun!

An oldie but goodie in my opinion. Taken in 2008! I remember I went through a sepia toned stage. Maybe that will re-emerge like wedding photojournalism has these last couple of years. For so long I took so many photos for the vendors at a wedding which I am happy to do but it always took me away from moments like these because I was too busy arranging a lay down flat (which I never enjoyed shooting so I am THRILLED those requests might be over) or making sure that every single detail was perfectly captured out of fear that a vendor wouldn’t refer me or feel slighted in some way. Huge confession I suppose. Let’s just say I welcome this new/old photo journalistic trend. It keeps me closer to meaningful moments and more connected to my clients which is why I am shooting the wedding in the first place. And …I still love photographing bouquets so don’t give me any grief. 🥰🥰🥰
