I had a wonderful time at the Getty Center with Professional Photographers of Los Angeles County and John Grusd. John discussed a specially-curated collection of some of the most historically-significant photographs ever created, giving us a greater appreciation of photography. Afterwards we toured the Getty and I captured these images. More images to come.

Yay, it's Lotus season at Seaside Gardens Botanical Garden and Nursery in Carpinteria, CA!!! I look forward to this every year, and this year the lotus are huge! Our Rancho Santa Barbara community puts on an art show and sale twice a year. This time I was fortunate to have sold 2 images -- the Carmel Butterfly House (right side, bottom row) and Sunrise Over RSB (with the palm tree). Last show I sold Paradise Divide (mountain reflection) and Corn Moon (upper right). Janice participated and sold her beautiful Yosemite reflection image. The Carmel Butterfly House image was bought by a lady who used to live in the house. Her Dad owned the house from 1955 to 2007. She had great stories about living there, including when a rogue wave broke out the windows facing the ocean.

Some of the beautiful flowers at Seaside Gardens Botanical Garden and Nursery. The first is a Red Orchid Cactus flower. I've tried to photograph this flower many times, but until now it wasn't very photogenic. The second photo is Blue Passionflower, followed by a couple of Dahlias and a Rock Purslane.
