The one thing I wish we could redo from our own wedding is also the number one reason our couples hire us today - our home video films.

What we’ve learned over the years is that - more than just the big moments you typically think of when you picture a wedding - our couples value seeing their loved ones. It’s not lost on us how rare it is to have all your close friends and family gather in one space, so we wanted to give them an opportunity to help create a sincere, personal wedding film for you. Like a wedding guest book that you can see and hear.

Kristin + Lawrence’s casual engagement session in the city that’s become their personal playground. We spent the afternoon stomping around San Francisco with their dog Yam, groceries in one hand and 蛋撻 (egg tart) from a local Chinese bakery in the other. No expectations, nothing grandiose, just them being them — and that’s the most special part. A glimpse into the beautiful life they’ve built together.

Jonathan + Angelina’s wedding was so personal and stunning that we literally shed tears while editing their film. Something we love doing at weddings is allowing our couple to record a message to their future selves so that decades from now, they can hear it from themselves just how special it was and never forget it. A belated happy anniversary to Phoebe + Jun 🤍 There are so many favorites from their gallery that we realized we never shared which is absolutely criminal. Our favorite is probably the one of Phoebe crying and smiling through her vows written on graph paper, affectionately labeled “Phoebe’s Vows.” No frills, just them being them, which is all we could ask for.

We shot our first out of state wedding in Texas this fall with John + Gillian, and the day was even more heartfelt, moving, and exhilarating than we could’ve ever imagined.

Everything felt so uniquely them, but what truly moved our hearts was seeing how closely involved their community was in every aspect of their wedding. Gillian’s mother put together the floral arrangements, her sister baked the most delicious passion fruit cake, Gillian sang one of the first songs she wrote at the reception, their adorable dog Stevie made a cameo on the cocktail napkins, and much, much more.

John and Gillian are some of the kindest, genuine, and effortlessly hilarious individuals we’ve ever met, and it’s no wonder considering the wonderful people they surround themselves with.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for trusting us to document this beautiful, unforgettable day for you. We’ll never shut up about it 🤍

If we had to describe Jonathan + Angelina’s wedding in a few words, it would be personal, cultural, and colorful. From the playful, hand drawn graphics by and custom “Jangie” bus, to the Lion dancers and the bridesmaids’ crocs that matched their dresses — everything about their wedding felt 10000% unapologetically them, and that’s what we loved about it the most.

To Jonathan + Angelina, you two are a treasure 🤍
