The day I met Savannah and Taylor, I knew we’d be a great fit, not just as wedding clients or photo clients, but as people. The vibes were immaculate, we had a ton of laughs, and Savannah and I had (nearly) matching gold Casio watches on. It seemed as though the stars had aligned to make a perfect match.
Then came something unexpected that showed itself when it came time to do our couple’s session in Morro Bay. It was the last thing I expected: I was nervous. But why? I had an amazing mood board as reference, we had awesome rapport, the weather was absolutely perfect. Should be an easy home run, right?
As I sat at the taco shop, trying a local brew and thinking over this perplexing state of things, I found realization as to why my nerves were so alert. It all boiled down to one simple fact: I really, really fu***ng cared about this one. I wanted to make good on the energy that we had been sharing. I wanted to do justice to the location, as it held a ton of sentimental value to them. I wanted to absolutely slay the house down, because all the ingredients were there for a smash hit.
I am both blessed and privileged to be in the position I am, and I carry that knowledge with a heavy dose of responsibility. I love it when we get along, have fun, and make memories. I also know that I’m here to freeze time in a way that makes memories immortal. To showcase your love and friendship, and in the process, turn your life into art. Sometimes that weight feels heavy.
That’s why I work as hard as I can to lift that weight with every press of the shutter.
The result? An absolute FLEX of a destination session.
Savannah and Taylor, I can’t wait for the wedding. Let’s make more magic together.
