I’m planning on putting in a garden this year. My garden beds have been sitting since 2022. I went out all optimistic about it, gonna get it cleared out over a few days. Hahahaha. No. It took me half an hour to see the dirt in one spot. Ugh. I texted the landscaping guy that does my yard to see if he had time to help me so I can get the seeds in on time. I’ll still be working on it as I can and he’s going to pop in, in between his other work, and help. I have that raised bed, one on the ground (very small where I put my tomatoes), and the bed around the base of my bird feeder post where I’ll be planting sunflowers. So…. I’m still very optimistic but it’ll just take longer and with help. I also need to clean out and organize that shed. So today I cleaned out a bit of the raised bed, pulled up old chicken wire from another bed, picked up trash around the yard that blew in during the high winds we had a few days ago, filled the bird feeders, cleaned out the little bed around the mailbox and got my morning glories planted. So I did get something totally cleaned out and planted today! Lol. I was going to clean up the mulch beds under my two crepe myrtles but they each have a large ant bed so I treated that today and will take care of it in a few days after the ant activity dies down. Also, one of the pumpkins we had for Halloween/Fall had rotted on the bottom and left some seeds behind in the planter. They decided to sprout so I’m going to leave them and see what happens. All in all, not too bad of a morning. But I’m dusty, dirty, and sweaty so I’m off to shower. Have a great day!
