I have always had a niche for up close photography.

Why I LOVE close up photography:
1- location doesn’t matter as much because the background is usually blurry and the person is the majority of the frame
2- catches all those little features that in children change so fast
3- makes for great art in the house (I frame a close up of my kids every year)
4- if you don’t enjoy structured poses this is a great way to be relaxed and get beautiful images
5- help enhance the gallery by adding dimension to the story

My 7 year old daughter and husband took them in our living room!
I did edit them though, it was a group effort really.
I ordered this backdrop and instantly set it up once it was delivered.
I have no photos of me and I want to use this backdrop for mothers so it seemed fitting I be the one in the photos.

My daughter is already finding a love for photography and wants to be behind the camera nearly as much as she wants to be in front of it.

One of my favorite things about being a photographer is using my kids when I want to try something new.

I got this Easter backdrop online and wanted to try it out before booking any sessions with it.
I ended up not liking how it looked in photos and returned it.

I think a few photos came out great, however, the quality of the backdrop was not there and I pride myself on providing quality work to my clients.

I do have more backdrops on the way and I am hopeful they will be better quality and I will have some fun sessions set up for the spring! 🌸

Something I have learned as a photographer is my favorite photos are not always going to be my clients favorite photos.
This photo is one of my favorites I’ve ever taken, my client didn’t even share it to her page & that is perfectly OK!
I love the creative freedom I have as a photographer but it’s not always for everyone, that is why I personally try to have an array of poses and styles for my clients. I love hearing what my clients like and dislike to provide them with photos they will love. I even surprise my clients by taking a photo they think is going to be strange or not something they like and they end up loving it!
Every session is unique, but they’re all special and come out beautiful!
