This girl is one of the strongest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and working with. Meet Maddy. Maddy has Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), a connective tissue disorder that severely affects her digestive system. It has led to vascular compressions and intestinal failure, meaning her body can no longer properly digest or absorb nutrients. Because of this, she relies on IV nutrition, feeding tubes, and an ostomy bag for nutrition, hydration, and medications. In turn, this causes her to be in the hospital a lot, and have multiple surgeries per year (as I am writing this, she is currently about to go through another surgery).

She didn't think she would ever get to the point of graduating High School so this was a major milestone. I am so, so lucky I was able to do this for her, and make her feel and look beautiful. She is an absolute gem, and a total natural in front of the camera.
