Alright, AlRight, ALRIGHT...So yes I just did a Mother's Day appreciation post but seriously, after witnessing my epic wife deliver(way too weak a word)...Birth my son Benedict after hours of laboring, capital L! How can I not do a second post or maybe even a third. Caroline, you are a wonder and I am so glad God has blessed us with our sweeties that you care for so diligently and well! Love you always!

Day #7: our family, and namely Bear
An extra measure of magic seems present in the photos Noah takes of Bear. The two of them have a special bond, and in joy we are just seeing the beginning of the bond that is being forged between Noah and his newest boy, our son Kit. I look forward to many photos with both our boys. I'm glad to be raising little men with you, Noah.

Day #6: Glacier
Glacier is such a great park, why shouldn't it get its own post? Noah was there last fall and these photos are from that trip. I'm sure he's been dozens of times but he seems to appreciate the textures and lines just as much each time, judging by his photos. If you've been following along with Noah's photos for a while, you recall that landscape and nature used to be his main subjects. I've seen him grow so much and lean into his skills with portraiture, but it is still fun to see photos with no humans in them. I can hear, feel and smell some of these photos.

Day #5: newborns.
How special to see everything in miniature. Newborns are so charming even if you're not a baby person. I was struck by Noah's ability to show rest and quiet in these photos....not all moments with a baby are restful or quiet (quite the contrary!) but there is an aspect of those early days where it feels like time does slow down. It's like the newborn smell: hard to describe but really wonderful to experience.

Day #4: weddings (with emphasis on flower girls because wow how adorable are they).
Who doesn’t love a good wedding? These all looked like pretty fun ones. Weddings can be so stressful and it’s really a shame. No one has control over the day but still it’s easy to worry over the details. Noah has always been good in stressful scenarios which makes him just the best at weddings, and I’m sure there are a lot of brides out there who are thankful for that attribute of his. I know I am!

Families: day #3.
I really enjoyed looking through some of the family archives (there were a lot of albums!) and remembering anew how each family holds their own charm. One of the things I like most about Noah's photography is that pictures often look like my memories of people. They are candid, honest, and capture what people actually look like in real life. True representation of life, with transparency over underlying human emotion and relationships seems to me to be the highest form of art.

And the category for day #2 of the takeover is......engagements!
It was really fun to look through Noah's engagement archives-what an exciting time in the lives of these couples. I think the personality of each pair comes out especially well in their photos: Noah has a strong style but still lets his subjects be the drivers for their photos. I don't know how he does it but it makes for some really special captures: here are some of my favorites.

Caroline Bostrom coming to you live from day #1 of the social media takeover!

Years ago I took over Noah's accounts for a week: he had posting fatigue, and I work in healthcare and post very little of my work on social media, so it was a fun time for both of us.

Each day I'm picking a category of Noah's recent work and highlighting my favorites.
Today I chose maternity-as I'm currently on maternity leave with our second son, it was a natural choice. I work as a pelvic health PT and am always blown away by the capacity of women's bodies to sustain life alongside our own. It prompts a wonder that I never stop feeling the gravity of.

Each of these women are as unique as the children they carry, but all display an incandescent joy that I think Noah captured well. Motherhood is very hard, and yet very beautiful.

I hope you'll hang out with me this week! I truly love Noah's work and am grateful for the opportunity to walk through more of it.
