This Memorial Day weekend, may we remember that freedom was never free. While we enjoy the life and liberties we’ve been blessed with, may we never forget the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country.

50 years of choosing each other through every season of life.

What an honor it was to capture the love, laughter, children, grandchildren, and legacy that grew from it all. Watching this family interact, joke, hug, and simply be together was such a beautiful reminder that the greatest things we build in life usually start with two people deciding to hold on through it all. 🤍

So much fun getting to work alongside my friend Jim and capture such a fun, unique love story. I already know their October wedding is going to be something special, and I seriously cannot wait for it. ✨

Motherhood has shaped so much of who I am, but I also know I didn’t get here alone.

Today I’m thinking about all the important moms in my life.
My own mom, who gave me life and so many pieces of herself along the way.
The mom who raised the man I get to love and do life with every day.
The moms who choose me as their friend and trust me with the real, messy, beautiful parts of life.

The moms who trust me with their babies every single day.
The moms who stand in front of my camera and allow me to capture the moments they’ll treasure forever.
The moms helping raise my nieces and nephews with love, patience, and strength.
The moms who have loved, helped, encouraged, and cared for my own children over the years.
And the moms who helped mold me into the woman and mother I am still becoming.

Motherhood looks different on every woman who carries it, but one thing I know for sure is that none of us were meant to do it alone. We are all shaped by each other in some way.

So today, I celebrate all of you. The biological moms, bonus moms, grieving moms, step moms, adoptive moms, aunties, grandmas, and the women who mother through pure love alone.

Thank you for the ways you pour yourselves into others, even when nobody sees it. The world is softer, safer, and more beautiful because of you.
