I'm still visiting at my brother and his wife in northern Washington State, and Myles and I are enjoying it very much. It had been 8 years since I'd been able to come out here. Today, they took me across the border into Canada (British Columbia) to Osoyoos and Penticton. We all love to go thrifting and they know where to go up there. That was fun. I didn't need to but much but it's fun to look. I did get a blouse and a tiny flower vase like I had been wanting. The money exchange is different in Canada so that was interesting. We ate lunch at A & W. I'm not sure if I've ever eaten at one before, but my favorite soda is A&W root beer. I was surprised, and I don't know if it's something they do at all A&Ws, but they served the fries in metal baskets and the soda in glass mugs. My sister-in-law drove so I got to relax, but the scenery was just breathtaking. These are just lousy snapped pics from my phone because I couldn't ask her to stop for pics, and the pictures don't do any of it justice, but they give a little glimpse of our day. Another cool thing that we did was stop a moment to see Ranald McDonald's grave, which is the smallest state park in Washington State. Those pics are below. He was buried overlooking the Kettle River in an Indian cemetery. It's very interesting if you wish to Google his name for further information.
