I know Iā€™ve been a little quiet on here lately. Iā€™m a pretty private person when it comes to personal things, but I wanted to give everyone a little update.

As some of you know, I had a total shoulder replacement back in March that turned into an 11-day hospital stay. Iā€™ve been in PT since May, and unfortunately, my recovery hasnā€™t gone quite as planned.

I run Serenity Acres by myselfā€”setups, tear downs, decorating, moving furniture, cleaningā€¦all of it. So this year Iā€™ve had to slow down, take lots of breaks, and even hire help along the way.

Today, I worked on this greenery arch ALL DAYā€”with plenty of breaks šŸ˜‚ā€”and itā€™s almost finished!

I am SO excited for this holiday season! ā˜ŗļø
This phone photo doesnā€™t even do it justice. It is BEAUTIFUL in person, and I cannot wait for all of you amazing photographers to see it and create some magic here. šŸ˜

Iā€™m not sharing this for sympathy at allā€”just explaining why Iā€™ve been a little quieter than usual. Iā€™m still here, still creating, and taking it one day at a time. ā¤ļø

And before anyone asksā€¦ YES! The sleigh and snow are making a comeback this year! ā„ļøšŸ›· They were such a favorite, and I canā€™t wait to see all the beautiful memories youā€™ll create with them again.

I have truly poured so much into building this glasshouseā€”sweat, tears, and even walking through emergency surgeries during the process. It is more than just a spaceā€¦ itā€™s my happy place, a safe place, and pure serenity.

When I designed it, I had my camera in hand, thinking through every possible angle to create something special for photographersā€”to give you a space where creativity flows and beautiful moments are captured.

If Iā€™m home, I make it a point to greet each and every one of you. I want this space to feel comfortable, personable, and inviting.

With that being said, I kindly ask that you treat the glasshouse and property with the same care and respect as if it were your own.

I understand it was a little warm inside today, and I truly donā€™t know why. I had the AC on the night before to ensure it would be cold like it normally is. This has never been an issue or concern before, but it was brought to my attention today, and I will be looking into it.

Also, if you or your clients plan to bring pets, this must be pre-approved beforehandā€”this is clearly stated on my website. This is important because I may have a photographer scheduled after you, and I need to ensure that they and their clients do not have allergies to animals.

I do clean thoroughly after each session in the glasshouse, but after pets I have to do a special
deep clean.

PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON FURNITURE.

My rules are simple, and I trust that as adults, they will be respected.
