As close as any civilian can get to a moon-capable machine while it's in the read-to-go configuration! Artemis 2, poised on the historic Launch Pad 39B at Kennedy Space Center!

For those in the know, yes, the lightning tower(s) aren't in this shot. I edited it out so all the focus can fall on the magnificent machine!

Some friends of mine call this a "dumpster dive", I call it "catching up". 😂 Needless to day, with work being so incredibly busy, regular updates outside of Instagram have become rare. But nonetheless, here I am, doing my best to make up for lost time. :)

The perfect place at the perfect time!!! I can’t recall the last time a VC-25A operating as left in the late afternoon… with sunny skies to boot!!! But yesterday was THE DAY, and the 20+ year wait was suddenly so worth it!!! 🤩😍 #747

After over twenty years of photographing VC-25s, I decided to change tact and capture one of them from well away from the field. These shots of 29000 were taken from about 4-5 miles away from SFO as it flew in, and proved to be better than I could’ve imagined. 😍 Of course, having a x1.4 teleconverter attached to my 100-400mm lens helped! 🤣🤣🤣

The is in town… and they sure know how to make an entrance!!! 🤩😍 Three swoop in for a landing on one of our taxiways in such a cool manner that one could swear it was planned in advance! It was such an awesome show of force… again, even if not intentional. 🤣
