Two days of traversing down canyons and exploring through petrified riverbeds.

We hiked through miles of cracked earth and sandstone walls that looked like another planet. Slept under a sky full of stars with nothing but the sound of howling coyotes and the wind. Woke up to a dead car battery a mile from the main road, and ended up hitchhiking with a park ranger who jumped out car. One of those trips that doesn’t go as planned, but that’s what makes it unforgettable.

Some of my favorite horizontal scenes over the past couple years.

Going through these archives really made me think of all the experiences I’ve had at such a young age and it really makes me feel unconditionally grateful for the life I live. These photos aren’t just photos but experiences that have shaped me into the man I am today and I just happen to love to capture the adventures I go on to share with you guys. Not only has Brian lived on the North Shore since the 60s, but witnessed and actively shaped the evolution of surfing. His innovative work with fin design set the foundation for modern surfboards, and his expertise in restoring vintage boards has made him a known figure among surfers both old and new. With a deep-rooted passion for the surf culture of the North Shore, Brian’s contributions have paved the way for today’s surfers, making him a welcomed part of its rich history.
