Today’s an emotional day as my father passed away five years ago.

This composition “Finalis” is dedicated to him. The bouquet was sent by friends shortly after he passed, however, it was sent to our neighbor’s home. We had been out of town and when we returned, our neighbor came over holding these sad-looking flowers. He asked if I wanted them and told him that I knew exactly what to do with them.

Dad was a generous man with a kind soul. A true altruist, he always placed others needs before his own. He traveled and explored the world with passion. An adventurer at heart, he instilled in me a sense of curiosity and exploration.

His love of nature focused on botany and birds with keen observation. As a talented artist, his drawings, sketches and paintings will be forever cherished.

We should all work together as a symphony of interconnected resilience.
