The bride said for her photography, just “Make it magazine” and I said SAY NO MORE. This Day of the Dead wedding was not only chic, but also the party of the year. Taylor and Patrick put together an event full of spooky festivities and details for their guests to enjoy - including a skeleton face painter, a tarot card reader, a mariachi band, an Until Death photo booth, a skull piñata for their guests to use as a punching bag 💀, and an Ofrenda to honor and bless the spirits of their loved ones. Take me back to this day - seriously, please throw it again next year, so I can come as a guest!

WE JUST GOT OUR WEDDING SNEAK PEEKS BACK FROM THE AMAZING
I have chills all over from looking at every photo and video from this day in Belize. Last night, we spent time looking at them together just melting on the couch and tearing up at how much we loved these moments. 🥹🥹❤️

Belize is a magical place that we'll forever hold dear to our hearts. Belizean people are the friendliest people you will ever meet in a country. It is a lush region filled with wildlife in the jungles, marine life in the ocean, full of waterfalls inland and has hundreds of cayes with barrier reefs along the coasts. We chose Belize to get married so that we could explore this beautiful place, and it was everything we ever dreamed it would be - Plus CARIBBEAN FOOD.

Vanessa and Nick's wedding story, part 1

These two are some of the bubbliest people I have ever met and they are absolutely perfect for one another. Their vibrant, beautiful personalities filled the day with laughter and the moments at their ceremony made everyone overcome with emotion. When Vanessa walked down the aisle with her younger brother in arm, Nick breathed deeply and held back tears. In their hands, they clasped a gifted locket. Then, at the end of the ceremony, they released doves to symbolize their new beginnings.

Was given the honor to photograph the wedding of my once-upon-a-time coworker from wayyyy back in the day when I worked a retail job at 18 years old. Not only did it feel like a fun reunion, but let me tell you, from the very moment I met his fiancé, my first thought was, Hell yes, man you found a dynamic, beautiful, caring, literal diamond of a woman who makes you SO happy. And their wedding reflected all of the stunning beauty of their character. It was vibrant and full of life, just like them. Loved capturing this stunning day so much. Some people would call this a dirty dress, but photographers like myself love this so much and we like to call this nature's ombre. It's the effect you get when adventuring with your love through the wild outdoors, dressed for fun and for an unforgettable experience, without worrying about your clothes. It happens when the most important thing to you is the moment, so you run through waves and the brush and mountains, and you get a little dirty for the laughs and the time you spend together, just as these two did on this sunset day in Malibu. It's like nature's dye. A little memoir to take home from your experience.

The wind and sand was more intense on this day than anything I've ever experienced at a shoot, but it made for some unique photos. I love how the wind whipping the sand in front of their hands makes so much texture in this first black and white. The wind in their hair and the sand all over us was both magical as well as challenging, but worth every moment of exploring this magnificent place that looked like we were in the middle of the Sahara Desert. ☀️ Can you believe this is California? This golden state never fails to inspire
