As a sports photographer, I get to capture incredible moments on the field. But as a mom, this is the most beautiful full-circle moment I’ve ever had the privilege to document. 🔄✨
Thirteen years ago, my daughter Mari took her first real steps into the pitching circle as a 10-year-old. That’s when Coach Mandy introduced her to Coach George Silvey. That single introduction sparked a mentorship lasting over a decade. Coach George didn’t just teach Mari the mechanics of pitching; he built a foundation of resilience and strength. That foundation propelled her to a CCS championship as a high school sophomore and ultimately to a college championship during her senior year.
Fast forward to this past season, and the story came completely full circle. Coach George and Mari spent the season coaching the Los Gatos JV softball team together! All of this while Mari also stepped up as a collegiate coach at West Valley alongside HC Vicky.
The dedication, mutual respect, and love these two have for each other—and for this game—is absolutely bar none. 🥎❤️
From student to dugout peers. It’s the honor of a lifetime to look through my camera and see this legacy still growing. Thank you, Coach George, for always believing in my girl!
