You may have noticed I have reverted to our original logo. The design is a stylized DNA helix which symbolizes that we open up the genetics of the video process. A CMOS image sensor (camera chip) has thousands of 8bit registers which control every aspect of the image creation from the moment photons are turned into an electrical charge and are assigned a digital value to when the video exists the camera. In almost every camera - especially consumer and prosumer cameras access to these registers is locked away. We not only give you access, but the tools and knowledge to explore, innovate and create.
The marketing group within our initial investor convinced us that the only reason we weren't selling product was our logo. So we spent far to many hours and dollars coming up with the blobs. Supposedly they were to represent how Hollywood depicts a director framing a shot with their hands. OK - I can kind of see that. And at first the blobs were unique, but now I see them used everywhere. They don't really tell the story of who and what SUB2r is. Funny thing is the only products we sell have the swoosh logo on them.
A logo - like the Niki wings - should tell the story. As SUB2r evolves and develops new technologies, our fundamental belief stand firm that we are more than a camera, hardware, and software, we are a platform for innovation from which new products can emerge. I can tell that story with the "swoosh" much more convincingly than with the blobs.
