Today was an absolute treat. Train chartered a cablecar and gave about a dozen fans a special experience as they got to ride to Hyde and Beach with them and listen to them play.
At Hyde and Beach, a throng of fans was treated to a mini-concert as the car was on the turntable for the performance. I thoroughly enjoyed chasing this trip and capturing it with , providing it's usual iconic backdrop.

I'll have to admit i didn't know many songs before today...i'm a fan now...

It’s Thursday. That means tomorrow starts another weekend edition of kicks off tomorrow. Look for a “Cal car” (like this one…the Tony Bennett car #53) on this weekend between 12 and about 630p

pulling in to the Cable Car Barn. It's always a coordinated effort because you not only have to get the shop's attention, but pull up ahead of the switch...and keep an eye out for automobiles following too closely so they don't block the move...
Then when everyone is ready, the switch is thrown and gravity takes over...
