A place I chanced upon after many many years of living in the same neighborhood. Who would’ve thought a parking garage can be a photo op with some of the best views and some profound thoughts. Each parking slot has a quote (slide 7) and you are rewarded with one of the best views of Telegraph hill. I was here in the first week of June on an almost full moon evening, I remember feeling so emotional because sometimes a place like this helps you remove yourself from the normality of living and see things through a bigger perspective. And I thought to myself, wow I made a life here, in this city, these surroundings became home and so familiar and yet I knew none of this 7-8 years ago.

I even thought I should bring a couple here sometime for a photoshoot if someone is open to it, and exactly three days later I was shooting a proposal and for the just engaged photos in north beach, I suggested this place to them and they agreed. Last 2 slides is a photo from that shoot. A bit crazy how fast I actually brought that vision to life!

Still stuck at home, sharing a set from some photos I took a couple of weeks ago. Swipe through for a walk on Lawton street and some of the avenues. Golden hour, colorful homes, and the golden gate peeking from here and there. Swipe and tell me tour favorite❤️

P.s. it’s been so hard to not be able to go out with my camera when we’ve been getting gorgeous weather for days now. I hope this warm weather stays for a while 🤞🏽I’m all for loving the fog and its moodiness, but it can feel a bit too grey when you’re at home and healing from an injury. Also photography is my good mental health hack, it’s my active meditation and without it I feel listless. But i have enough photos to revisit and go through so im using some of this time for that.

To be young and carefree. I went up to twin peaks a week ago probably to see the sunset, and it was freezing cold, no surprises, but what made me linger for a few moments and take these photos is all the kids in these photos! To be sitting in just a t shirt with your friends not complaining about the weather and just being in awe of the view is the feeling that stuck with me. It made me miss my college days and the carefreeness that came with it. I had to go back in my car in literally ten mins and watch the blue hour pass by in the comfort of a heater!

I’ve lived in sf long enough to know the weather and adapt to the cold, but still sometimes the wind and fog together chill me to my bones and I find it hard to be outside on days like the one I’ve photographed! Swipe for the whole set and tell me your favorite shot.
