Open Homes had the opportunity to capture a great event yesterday! Compass Welcome Home, NorCal 2026 brought together top-producing agents from across Northern California for a regional conference in San Francisco. 🌉

The morning was an invite-only panel with Josh Marquina, David Weiss, Chris Meadors, and Lori Olson — four agents covering San Francisco, the East Bay, Napa, and the Tri-Valley — talking industry trends, client experience, and how to put Compass' marketing tools to work. 💪

Many listings have pools. Some listings have views. Very few listings have a private rotating observatory with an observatory-class computerized telescope 🔭 sitting on over an acre in the Saratoga hills.

Our job was to make sure our photos did this unique listing justice, from the dome to the deck and all the amazing views in between. When the whole package came together, the perfect buyers showed up — and the results were, fittingly, astronomical — 14% over asking, to be exact.

Some property sites treat the surrounding neighborhood as an afterthought, but 500Castro.com treats it like the selling point it actually is.

For their listing at 500 Castro Street, Guy Carson and Steven "Stu" Gerry leaned into the Castro's identity from the start — spelling out "The Castro" in full rainbow lettering, a direct nod to the neighborhood's decades-long history with Pride and LGBTQ+ activism. Agents are always welcome to build on what we provide, swap in their own photos, or write their own descriptions entirely.

Here’s one more benefit that some agents aren’t aware of when they order a website: the Permalink for the site is theirs to keep, and it’s free forever — as an active listing, a portfolio piece, or both, meaning Guy and Stu can use this site’s Permalink for future leasing advertisements as long as they’d like.

It feels as though Jong & Jong Architects designed 319 Tappan Terrace with one goal in mind: create a home that obstructs the outside as little as possible.

A glass roof covers the central atrium, where a grand piano sits beneath open sky. Dramatic walkways connect the bedroom wings above. Shoji screens, slate floors, a full outdoor kitchen, and a rooftop deck offer up fog and sunset views over San Pablo Reservoir.

A house with this much glass can be a challenge to shoot — the contrast between bright sky and interior detail is extreme. Our Visual Artists used a multi-exposure approach, blending several shots of each scene together to retain detail in both the sunlit glass and the spaces behind it. That's what gives the interior photos their depth and clarity without losing the sky above or the hillside beyond.
