Five years ago today, on a whim, I launched with this photo. I had zero expectations about where it might lead. I was frustrated by the drumbeat of negativity about our beautiful city and wanted to share the beauty, energy and optimism I see here everyday. I’ve had a blast doing it, and I’m going to keep doing it, but on a smaller scale. Definitely not goodbye, as I know I’ll be unable to resist capturing and posting those magical moments I stumble across all the time, just a bit more sporadically. Thank you San Francisco - for being my home in all the best ways possible. ❤️

The Bitter End - best watering hole in the Richmond District. Part sports bar, part pool hall, with great food, awesome bartenders (special shout-out to Martina!) and two stories providing plenty of room to just hang. The graffiti decor is the cherry on top. Am I wrong???
