Like most of my friends and colleagues, I'm deeply saddened by the news of CCA(C) closing its doors. Teaching there and working with some of the most talented teachers and students was one of the highlights of my career.
I think the email that I received from the brilliant artist/teacher Hall says it all.
As Doug said, "another piece of disheartening news to dampen my spirits."

A large part of my job is organizing and going through Jim’s archive and during this process I have discovered gems from all kinds of work that were never used at the time.

PALESTINE PRINT PLATFORM-ALL PROCEEDS TO PALESTINIAN ARTISTS

This is my print that is included in the sale. There’s lots of other incredible work to look
and purchase- all for a crucial cause. I was also lucky enough to be introduced to, and
work with, the wonderful-brave collagist - Samaa Emad .gaza which is the
second slide here.
Here is some history- In 2024, after the killing of Gazan photojournalist Majd
Arandas (.arandas), Gulf Photo Plus launched “I wish to photograph beauty”, a
print sale that raised nearly $80,000 for 36 Palestinian photographers and artists. Print
sales remain one of the few ways to provide direct support to Palestinian artists today. Palestinian artists have been creating and resisting with great courage. Their work is essential — it must be supported and shared. continues this work, starting with a collaboration with 27 members from , who are donating the proceeds from sales towards their Palestinian colleagues.100% of net proceeds go to the featured 24 Palestinian artists, with no profits going to Gulf Photo Plus or
Magnum Photos.
