I've been posting short reels on my other Instagram Allaboutlight5500 . Gafieira Band. A steaming hot ska band was a great way to celebrate the last day of our day of our tour. I love the way.
The horns and vocalists played on one stage
and the band played on another, making for some great call and response, a trademark of brazilian music.
Gafieira Band at Boteco Fronteira (Rua Odilon Santos, 65 - Rio Vermelho, Salvador).
The Orquestra dos Santos (Orchestra of the Saints) is a big (10 piece) band with a Famous-Flame-hot horn section and a honey-drop vocalist who doubles as a clarinet player (or the other way around).

Music: Mestre Aurino and samba de roda with residents of Maracangalha. Pardal says: Aurino de Jesus is a master of the viola machete, an instrument which by default became the standard string instrument for the accompaniment of chula in the Recôncavo (they were brought from Portugual; their apparent origin was on the Island of Madeira) and they were what was available to enslaved plantation workers. More highly pitched string instruments worked better with the then-unamplified samba, cutting through the drumming, making them hearable

Drum of Creole
The Inimeses cibula Tembor as a Brazilian quarter are part of the broader process oli recognition and appreciation not of this form of expression, but of the cultural traditions of African origin that developed in the country.
The registration of the Crioula Drum is consistent, in several respects, with the guidelines of public policies for the preservation of Brazilian cultural heritage,
In addition to the material and symbolical elements that this form of expression triggers in its moments of celebration, work, fun and devotion, it also represents the cultural resistance of black Africans and their descendants in Maranhão.
Historically enslaved, plundered and excluded, the black groups that constitute the vast majority of the players have in the Creoula Drum a channel of updating individual and collective memories, affirming ethnic identity and reinforcing social bonds that favor the co-escalation of men, contact with the divine and the chair earring itself as a constitutive experience of their way of life.
