On this evening, as the sun slipped behind the trees, a burst of golden light found its way through the columns and across the water, transforming an already beautiful place into something magical for just a few fleeting moments.

That's what keeps me coming back with a camera. Not just the iconic landmarks, but the possibility that the light will reveal something new.

San Francisco has a way of rewarding patience, and every now and then it reminds me why I fell in love with photographing this city in the first place. ♥️

Sometimes Plan B turns out to be exactly the right decision.

That was the case this morning while photographing the Golden Gate Bridge at sunrise. The original plan wasn’t coming together the way I had hoped, so I decided to change locations and trust the light instead. A few minutes later, the sky exploded into soft pinks, oranges, and blues as the city slowly woke beneath the bridge.

Moments like this are a reminder that photography and life don’t always reward the perfect plan. Sometimes the unexpected path leads to the most unforgettable light.

Some mornings in San Francisco just hit differently.

I captured this sunrise over Oracle Park as the city slowly began waking up beneath an incredible sky glowing with gold, orange, and soft blue light across the bay. For a few quiet moments, the streets were nearly empty, the water was still, and the entire city felt suspended between night and day.

After spending the last few weeks chasing light through the Southwest, coming home to mornings like this reminded me why San Francisco will always inspire me. No matter where I travel, I always seem to find myself searching for the same thing — those fleeting moments when light transforms a place into something unforgettable.

One of the things I love most about San Francisco is how different the city feels depending on the light.

Some evenings are dramatic and filled with color… and some mornings feel quiet, soft, and timeless like this moment along Chrissy Field as the tide slowly moved beneath the Golden Gate Bridge.

After spending weeks photographing the vast landscapes of the Southwest, it’s been incredibly inspiring returning home and reconnecting with the coastal beauty that first made me fall in love with photography here in California.

After weeks of chasing light through the Southwest, it feels good to be back beneath San Francisco skies.

No matter where I travel, I always find myself drawn to the same thing, those quiet moments between night and day when a place seems to completely transform.

Watching the light fade across the Golden Gate Bridge never gets old. There’s something timeless about this view, especially during blue hour when the city begins to glow and everything slows down for just a moment.

San Francisco will always feel like home to me.

Sedona at sunset feels almost unreal. As the last light faded across the red rocks, the sky turned shades of pink, violet and deep desert blue - one of those fleeting moments where everything becomes completely still.

These are the moments I'm always chasing with my camera and drone...the quiet transition between day and night, when a landscape seems to glow from within.

The Southwest has inspired me in ways I honestly didn't expect, and I'm so excited to continue sharing this new collection with all of you.

Standing at the edge of the Grand Canyon at sunset is one of those experiences that instantly makes the world feel bigger and quieter at the same time. It had taken me a lifetime to actually get here.

As the light softened across the canyon walls, the landscape shifted through layers of deep reds, purples, and golds that almost didn’t feel real. Moments like this remind me why I’m so drawn to the Southwest - the scale, the silence, and the way the light transforms everything just before nightfall.

This new Southwest Collection has become a journey about slowing down and chasing those fleeting magic hour moments that stay with you long after you leave.

One of my favorite moments from this Southwest journey happened completely unexpectedly.

I had been exploring Sedona for most of the day waiting for the light to do something special… and just before sunset the sky suddenly exploded with color. The red rocks began glowing, the desert air turned still, and for a few quiet minutes it felt like the entire landscape was on fire.

These are the moments I live for as a photographer, chasing light, slowing down, and witnessing places that feel almost otherworldly.

Sedona has a way of staying with you long after you leave.
In case you're wondering... the rock in the distance is often called Rabbit Ears.

More pieces from my new Southwest Collection coming soon.

The Southwest has a way of making you slow down and just take it all in.

I spent the evening chasing light through Sedona as the red rocks began to glow beneath one of the most beautiful skies I’ve seen in a long time. These moments out here feel timeless, quiet, wild, and endlessly inspiring.

This new collection is quickly becoming one of my favorites I’ve ever photographed. 🌵

More from the Southwest soon.
