This is a portrait of Lissa McKamey, a flight engineer for the KC-10 stationed at Travis Air Force Base in California. The photo won in the "Portrait" category at the Air Force Reserve Command media awards. I took this photo last year, shortly after filming her short documentary that also won an award in the "Video Story" category. In the photo, Lissa stands next to a C-47 "Okie Dokie" aircraft that her grandfather had flown during the Normandy invasion in WW2. This photo also appeared as part of a collage magazine cover for April/ May 2023 Citizen Airman magazine, which commemorated the U.S. Air Force Reserve’s 75th Anniversary.

The photograph was taken using a 4x5 Wisner large format camera and a Schneider 210mm f/5.6 Symmar lens.

I recently filmed a short video documentary of Lissa McKamey who is stationed at Travis Air Force Base. It was filmed during last year's Women's History Month. I submitted a 4x5 film portrait at the Air Force Reserve Command's Media Awards, and I heard that it's doing well, so I hope it wins.

Also, I am trying to start a new habit of using Metabusiness on my personal pages. This will allow all my Instagram and page posts to be synced from now on.
