I was born in Brazil, a place full of colours, life and music. Growing up in a beach town I quite often caught myself sitting at the shoreline, contemplating all the colours of beautiful sunsets. There you will find people of all walks of life, colourful landscapes and bright skylines. Growing up, I was always a curious boy, and that played its role when I decided to become a researcher. This same
curiosity always made me very interested in the experience of living abroad. So, needless to say that when the chance to move to Canada appeared in my life I jumped in the first wagon. I move to Edmonton in 2009, with high hopes of one day becoming a Doctor in Cell Biology. My first experiences in Canada are still vivid in my mind, the first time I saw snow, the gorgeous summers with long days and the beautiful colours of the fall. All that really made me fall in love with this country, and more specifically with Alberta. I believe that its impossible not to feel something magic when you get to the Rockies, or when you see the Northern lights for the very first time. I always liked photography, and I got my first point and shot camera in 2004. We were inseparable, I was always snapping pictures of people, cars, signs, sunsets; pretty much anything that would catch my attention for more that 10 seconds. I always liked to register the colours of different places, the culture in different cities and the faces of different people around me. Thinking back, all the interest that I’ve always had to freeze moments in photographs got intensified when I arrived in Canada. I was constantly trying to register the differences, and uniqueness, that each season brings. That was when I decided, in 2011, to buy my first DSLR. At first, I got frustrated when I could not translate all the beauty that I saw into the images that I was capturing, and that was when I decided to get immersed in photography. Since 2011 I have spent money acquiring photography gear, spent time learning about composition, colour balance and photography post processing. Now, for the very first time after almost 10 year of photography, I decided to show my images to the world. All that I really want is to show people all the beauties of this world through my perspective. I hope you enjoy it.
