I’ve been working on something for the last couple of years and it’s finally shipping.

Lessons From A Terrible Photographer is now available.

This book is part memoir, part creative survival guide, and part “I wish someone told me this years ago.”
It’s about the messy, human side of making things in a world that loves pretending everything is perfect.

To celebrate the launch, a few days ago I created a limited Collector’s Box.

I made 35 of them. Ten are already gone. Twenty five remain.

Each one includes:
• A signed, numbered first edition hardcover
• A Field Notes notebook for your own ideas, frustrations, and breakthroughs

LinkedIn, Instagram… whatever. It’s all highlight reels with corporate filters

smiles, buzzwords, sanitized success stories.

I get it. But I’m after something else.

I’ve spent half my life chasing light. Not because it’s beautiful, but because it tells the truth.

This frame was shot after a Southern California rain. The ocean was still angry. Wind. Salt. Noise. The beach almost empty. But this one moment… was quiet.

That’s what I’m after.
Work that feels alive, not polished.
Human, not perfect.
