Your logo isn’t the most important part of your brand anymore. Sure, a great logo gets you recognized, but people are what build trust.

There may be no better way to end the evening after a long networking day than with a room full of laughter.

Guests at the NCTC conference were treated to an unforgettable comedy show featuring the hilarious Connor Larsen and headliner Aaron Weber . The energy in the room was incredible, and it was such a fun evening to capture.

A huge thank you to Paramount for sponsoring an evening that brought everyone together through laughter.

One of the things I love most about conference photography is documenting every part of the attendee experience; from the keynote sessions to the moments that help people connect, relax, and create lasting memories.

👏 Thanks again to everyone who made it such a great night!

As an event photographer, I’m always watching for those moments when a speaker is completely connected with their audience—a gesture, an expression, a pause for emphasis. Those are often the images that best capture the energy of a keynote long after the event is over.

They help organizations share their event, celebrate their speakers, and continue the conversation with attendees who were there and those who weren’t.

One of my favorite moments from today’s conference.

When was the last time your business looked as professional online as it does in person?

One of the biggest mistakes I see professionals make is relying on outdated headshots—or worse, having no professional images at all.

Your website, LinkedIn profile, and social media are often your first introduction.

Before someone books a consultation…
Before they answer your email…
Before they call…

They’re deciding whether they trust you.

Professional branding photos don’t just show what you look like.

They show your confidence, credibility, and the experience clients can expect when they work with you.

Whether you’re an attorney, consultant, physician, or business owner, investing in your personal brand is investing in your business.

So who’s ready? David Alvarez Nguyen, Esq. is the perfect example of leveling up his new website with stunning brand photos. Website by Ripple & Tide Creative

People always ask what I pack for an event, and the answer is… probably more than you’d expect.

Every item has a purpose:
📷 Two camera bodies
🔍 Multiple lenses
🔋 Extra batteries & memory cards
💧 A water bottle (because 10-hour event days are real!)
💼 Business cards
✨ And this week… Mickey ears.

It’s all about being prepared. Wish me luck that I don’t melt before I get back to San Diego.

Next week, I’m heading to Walt Disney World to photograph a conference—and as part of the assignment, I officially completed Disney’s vendor vetting process!

It’s such a fun career milestone. After more than 20 years behind the camera, I still get genuinely excited about the places this work takes me and the people and events I’m trusted to document.

Next stop: Disney World! 🏰📷

Not every Tuesday looks like this—and getting here definitely didn’t happen overnight. ✨

Leaving the security of a 9-to-5 was scary. Building a business has meant taking risks, working through doubt, and continuing to show up when the results weren’t immediate.

So if you’ve been dreaming about taking the leap, let this be your reminder: you don’t need to have it all figured out. Start scared. Keep going. Trust what consistent effort can build.

Sometimes, the view is pretty incredible. 💛

People often spend years building their reputation.

Then they represent it online with a photo that no longer reflects who they've become.

Whether someone finds you through LinkedIn, your company website, a speaking engagement, or a Google search, your first impression often happens long before you shake hands.

Your photos should communicate the same confidence, professionalism, and authenticity you've worked so hard to build.

That's what great brand photography is all about.

Not just looking polished.

Looking like you on your best day.

Between building a career and raising humans…
it’s really easy to put ourselves last.

We show up for deadlines.
We show up for our kids.
We show up for everyone else.

And somewhere in the middle of it all… we forget to show up for ourselves.

This is one of the reasons I care so deeply about what I do.
Because being seen—really seen—matters.

Not just as a mom.
Not just as a business owner.
But as you.

Sometimes a photo isn’t just a photo…
it’s a reminder that you’re still in there too 🤍

Thank you for being my muse here :)
